Imbolc This pagan celebration honours the recovery of the Goddess after having given birth to the God. She has survived the winter, spring is coming and daylight is increasing. It is a time to celebrate new beginnings, fertility and light. It is also a time for purification and release, letting go of any old habits or negative situations as we prepare for a clean fresh start. An old tradition is to light a candle in each room after sunset during Imbolc, also known as Candlemas. (For Safety, ensure your candles are set on a solid surface and in a heat-resistant container. Keep them out of reach of small children, and away from any flammable objects.)
